Try Before You Bike

Solihull Council has teamed up with Peddle My Wheels to offer Solihull residents and workers the Try Before You Bike scheme.

The scheme is part of the West Midlands Cycle and Walk Programme and offers a flexible way to try cycling without the initial cost of buying an e-bike and accessories.

When you sign up via Peddle My Wheels, use the code SOLIHULLELECTRIC for £50 off any e-bike for the first six months, subject to availability.

How does it work?

Residents can hire an e-bike from Peddle My Wheels from £90 a month on a rolling monthly contract. This includes:

• choice of e-bike
• free bike build and delivery to your door
• accessories (helmet, lights and D-lock)
• bike insurance for the duration of the hire period
• a confidence training session with one of our qualified instructors (if required)
• affordable purchase options
• free collection if you decide the e-bike is not for you

You can opt out of the scheme at any time and return the e-bike, or you can purchase it. If you purchase the e-bike, any money paid during the hire period will be taken off the purchase price. 

If your employer offers a Cycle to Work scheme, you can pay any outstanding balance through salary sacrifice, saving up to 42%.
