Conferences
COP26 captured the world’s attention back in November 2021, helping to heighten awareness about the immediacy of the climate emergency. However, conferences don’t necessarily have to be at the international stage to make a significant impact locally. There are various events which take place annually in Solihull which have a healthy participation from local schools. These include the Sustainable Schools Conference and the Solihull Schools Climate Conference. Teaching children about the importance of eco-responsibility is invaluable. However, it’s certainly not a one-way street as we often hear brilliant ideas from students of all ages that could be utilised by wider society.
