Funding and advice

Sustainability West Midlands provides a regularly updated feed with some of the latest funding opportunities your business might be eligible for.

Click on the expandable boxes below to find out more about some of the schemes on offer.

The Net Zero Grant Programme (NZGP) is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to apply for a match-funded grant to make their premises more energy efficient.

Eligible SMEs can get a grant of up to £100,000 in funding and up to 50% aid intensity.

Capital grants will support businesses to purchase energy efficiency measures for their premises including solar panels, insulation, renewable technologies and more.

These measures will help businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and save on energy costs.

Businesses must meet the NZGP eligibility criteria

If you meet the criteria, contact WMGP@birmingham.gov.uk or call 0121 303 6800 to discuss your eligibility and request the NZGP grant application form.

NZGP is funded by the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and administered by Birmingham City Council.

For further details, visit Birmingham City Council’s website.

The Circular Economy for Birmingham and Solihull (CEBAS) Project offers free advice to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to help them improve their resource efficiency and save money.

Eligible SMEs will be supported to identify how they can reduce waste, energy, and operational costs, while they can also benefit from free workshops and training events.

SMEs must be located within Solihull, employ fewer than 250 full-time equivalent personnel, and have either an annual turnover of under £43.5 million or an annual balance sheet total of under £37 million.

CEBAS is funded by the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and is administered by International Synergies Ltd.
