There is a charge if borrowing DVDs or CDs, and also for audiobooks unless you are Print Disabled (have difficulty with print books)
Children and teenagers can borrow up to 10 books, 6 CDs, 6 Children's DVDs and 10 audiobooks.
Renew items you have borrowed
Log in to your library account to renew items online. To access your account you will need your library membership card (which contains your borrower number) and your PIN.
If you hold a library membership card but don't know your PIN number, please email email@example.com.
You can renew your items online twice before you are required to bring them in to the library. Online renewals may not be possible if another customer has reserved your items.
Items on the catalogue but not in your local library, or that are on loan, can be reserved online. There is a charge for reservations by adults, a lower charge for teenagers and concessions (60+), but not for children under 16.
To do this, click on Reserve this Item, log into your account, choose the library you would like the item delivered to, and then click on Reserve.
You can check your Reservations in the My Account function (Last Useful in this entry is a date one year after the reservation was placed, but reservations are supplied much quicker).
The library will notify you by email or phone once the item arrives, but you can also check this in your account.
Reservation charges can be paid on collecting the item.
All library customers will be charged fines for items that are overdue, this includes children under the age of 18.
Fines can be paid at any Solihull library by cash or cheque.
