PressReader changes FAQ

PressReader is requiring a more formal confirmation that customers are valid members of their library services. This is being done worldwide, not just with Solihull.

If you are a valid library member and your membership is up to date, you will not notice any change, but your membership is being authenticated against our library management system as already happens when you use eBooks, eAudiobooks or your Account when borrowing books.

This includes the online memberships that begin with WP or H.

You will also need your 4 digit PIN..

Your membership may have expired – in which case contact Solihull Libraries on 247library@solihull.gov.uk so we can check your details and restart your membership

If you are not a member, its free to join online and the online membership will let you use PressReader.

If you don't have or are unsure of your PIN, you can reset it online if your email address is in your account.

You can reset the PIN by going to the library catalogue at https://solihull.spydus.co.uk and clicking on 'Forgot Your Password?' (on the menu at the right of the screen).

You can then enter your library card number (without the SLP or WP in front and without spaces) and your surname.  Then click on Continue and further instructions should then be sent automatically to your email account.

If this doesn't work or you think your email address is not in your record please contact us on 247library@solihull.gov.uk

It works in the same way, but once you log into it then you stay logged in without interruption.
