Personal budgets
If you’ve had an adult social care assessment and we can help with your care and support, we’ll tell you how much we will pay towards this and if and how much you will need to contribute. This is called your personal budget.

How to manage your personal budget
You can choose to have your personal budget:
- managed by us
- paid to you as a direct payment
You will still need to pay any charges for your care. You’ll be told how much you need to pay in your financial assessment.
Personal budgets for carers
If you are an unpaid carer, you could receive your own personal budget.
You can check if you are eligible by asking us for a carer's assessment.
