All Solihull libraries have computers for public use. Library members can book or drop-in and use a computer for up to 3 hours free of charge each day

Computer access
Databank - free mobile data
The National Databank provides free mobile data, texts and calls to people in need via Good Things Foundation’s network of local community partners.
Think of it like a ‘food bank’ but for internet connectivity data. Community organisations can apply to access the databank, enabling them to provide data to people in their communities who need it.
How do organisations sign up with the National Databank?
The National Databank is open to all community organisations that are members of the Good Things Foundation’s National Digital Inclusion Network.
If you are not a member yet, you can sign up free to join, enabling access to training, the National Databank and other funding opportunities.
Free wifi in libraries
Free wifi access is available at all Solihull libraries (except Smiths Wood Neighbourhood Library). You don't need to be a library member to use it and there is no time limit.
Get help learning basic digital skills
If you’re new to the internet or want to build your confidence, there are free, easy‑to-follow courses available online. These cover everyday tasks like using a device, shopping online, managing money and staying in touch. You don’t need any previous experience to get started. Find courses and tools to help you get online.
Get help at a library
You can get free, in person support at Solihull libraries. View library sessions and support available.
Improve on your IT and digital skills
If you already have some experience, there are plenty of ways to develop your skills further. You can access step‑by‑step guides, learn new tools and even take part in courses to build your confidence for work or everyday life. Explore more advanced and specialist learning and courses.
Printing, copying and scanning at a library
Printing, copying and scanning is available in all Solihull Libraries.
Social tariffs: Cheaper broadband and phone packages
Could you save money on your broadband and mobile bills?
A social tariff is a lower cost broadband and mobile tariff, available to those eligible – usually residents who are in receipt of universal credit, pension credit and some other benefits.
The scheme is offered by most major mobile and broadband providers and the packages are the same as normal broadband or mobile connectivity, just at a lower price.
