The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has made new funding available to councils in England called the Household Support Fund (HSF). This funding is to support those most in need and to help with the rising cost of living. The fund is intended to support a wide range of households including families, pensioners and people with disabilities.
Types of support that are available through HSF includes:
- Energy bills – water bills and any fuel used for heating and cooking
- Essentials (clothing, blankets, fridges and cookers)
- Wider essentials (hygiene products, transport)

|Emergency Hardship Fund||Solihull Community Housing (SCH)||Support for SCH tenants with food, emergency fuel top-ups, energy costs to facilitate reconnection of supply and wider essentials.
