  5. Entries should reflect the competition theme – ‘How I Celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III’.
  6. Entrants can choose to design their bookmark by hand or by using digital design. The bookmark must be the same size as the supplied template (200mm x 40mm).
  7. All artwork must be the entrant’s own original creation. Do not use any copyrighted or trademarked images, names, or phrases.
  8. Do not add the entrant’s name or any identifying information to any part of the design.
  9. The winners will be invited to attend a photoshoot and complete a photo permission form. Photographs of the winning entrants and bookmark designs will be used for publicity purposes – on Solihull Council’s website, on social media, in a press release, and may be published in the press. (Please inform us at time of submitting your child’s entry if you do not wish your child to be photographed. This will not affect the judging process, but will help us with our planning.)
  10.  There are four age categories: Under 5s, 5-8 years, 9-11 years, and 12-16 years. One winner per age category per library will be chosen by a panel of local judges. These local winners will then go forward for judging and an overall winner for each age category in Solihull as a whole will be chosen by a separate panel of judges.
  11.  The overall winning design for each age category will be printed and the bookmarks will be made available in all Solihull Libraries.
  12.  An exhibition of entries will be held in each library and an exhibition of the local winners and overall winners will be held at The Core (dates to be confirmed).
  13.  Prizes: a certificate for the local winners and the overall winners will each receive a £25 gift card, an Afternoon Tea (as part of the presentation event), and a certificate. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
