Here are answers to some common questions about Solihull's eNewspapers service.
Borrowbox ePress includes many UK national newspapers (apart from the Daily/Sunday Telegraph, Times/Sunday Times, and the Sun/Sun on Sunday), plus many local papers and worldwide titles.
NewsbankUK includes UK newspapers and also the Daily/Sunday Telegraph, Times/Sunday Times and Sun/Sun on Sunday, plus many local papers including the Solihull Observer.
We acknowledge that a very small number of titles that were available through PressReader will not be available through ePress. Some of these, such as the Economist, are locked into an exclusive deal and cannot be offered by other platforms. However, Bolinda are actively looking to obtain ‘missing’ titles where possible, so these may be available in future.
Most national and local papers are available on the morning of publication. There may be slight delays to others and longer delays for some countries' papers depending on availability and the local situation, eg areas hit by war.
Back issues are available for a range of intervals from a fortnight to three months. An archive of articles is available in Newsbank, searchable by subject and going back considerably further.
UK Press Online has an archive of the Daily and Sunday Express issues in full back to 1900 plus some World War 2 papers.
You can also view the British Newspaper Archive in libraries, using our computers with your library card, or on your own device using our wifi. This is a searchable archive of historical local newspapers with the full images available.

Daily editions of eNewspaper titles become available at different times, depending on their publisher. All daily issues should be available from 8am, however, on occasion some papers may appear earlier than this time.
If you have borrowed AND subscribed to a publication, you should see the latest edition in your ‘Home’ section each day.
If you choose just to borrow an issue, you will have this issue for three weeks/until you return it, but you will not automatically see new editions in your ‘Home’ section.
Back issues of many titles are available, although how far back past issues go will vary by individual title and publisher. When you search for a title, you can see what back issues are also available.
Supplements, if available for a particular title, appear at the end of the edition. Unfortunately, not all supplements are currently available – for example, You Magazine from The Mail on Sunday.
No, when you borrow a publication, if you click on ‘confirm and subscribe’, this means that you will automatically receive new editions as they are released to the BorrowBox ePress platform (e.g. each day’s new edition of a newspaper or for monthly publications, each time a new edition is published, it will automatically appear in your ‘Home’ section under your ePress loans’).
