Councillor Ian Courts, Leader of Solihull Council, volunteers from Veolia and Aldi, and staff from the Council’s Planting Our Future team joined together this week to plant 500 new saplings at Katherine’s Wood in Lavender Hall Park, Balsall Common.

A new simplified Council Tax Reduction Scheme (CTRS) which will help thousands of working age households in Solihull with their council tax bills will begin on 1 April 2025.
A new Family Helpline has launched today (Monday 3 March) to support families in Solihull.
Families and people working with parents and children in the borough are encouraged to call 0121 788 4327 to access support.
More than 700 residents received support from Solihull Council’s Employment and Skills Team in 2024 with more than a third of them age 16-24. Nathan was one of them.
The great work of our carers across the borough is something I am always keen to discuss and Young Carers Action Day is taking place on Wednesday 12 March.
