How it works

Our service delivers throughout Solihull and provides a range of equipment to support people with everyday living in their own homes.

The equipment can be prescribed for you by professionals including:

  • occupational therapists
  • hospital therapists
  • community nurses
  • specialist health professionals

These professionals will be able to assess your needs, discuss equipment to support you and answer your questions. All equipment is provided on loan and SILS will be responsible for any repair and maintenance needed.

The range of equipment includes mobility aids, specialist beds and mattresses, moving and handling equipment, and items to help people use their own homes more safely. SILS does not provide wheelchairs. Please contact your GP to request a wheelchair.
