Bus lanes

Solihull Council operates bus lane enforcement to ensure drivers comply with restrictions.

Bus lanes separate buses and vehicles, such as emergency services, from other road users. This helps to improve public transport reliability, ease traffic flow and encourage sustainable travel.

Bus lane locations, hours of restriction and permitted road users

Location Hours of restriction Permitted road users
B425 Lode Lane southbound24-hour Buses, cyclists, hackney carriage taxis, emergency services

Penalty charge notices (PCN)

Motorists who breach bus lane restrictions will be recorded by cameras. If an offence is recorded, a PCN will be issued by post to the registered keeper of the vehicle.

PCNs are £70, reduced to £35 if paid within 21 days.

You can pay a PCN online or make a payment using our automated telephone system by calling 0300 456 0502. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
