From the section: Business rates reductions
Charities and registered community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) can apply for mandatory or discretionary business rate relief.
Charities and registered CASCs can get an 80% reduction in their business rates.
If you have not received this reduction and think you qualify, please read our guidance notes.
If you believe you meet the criteria, please complete an application form and return it to us by post or send it to businessrates@solihull.gov.uk.
We can also reduce bills for charities and not-for-profit organisations that are most in need by awarding discretionary rate relief, for example to organisations who have limited funds who work with Solihull Council to support local residents.
If you think this may apply to your organisation, please read our discretionary rate relief policy.
If you believe you meet the criteria, please complete an application form and return it to us together with your last 2 years’ financial accounts by post or sending it to businessrates@solihull.gov.uk.
There are two decision-making sessions a year, in September and March. Once a decision has been made, we will notify you of the outcome in writing.
If you need to contact us about your application, please use our enquiry form.
