I started this week with a trip to The Core for the Flourishing Futures graduation ceremony on Monday. It celebrated the achievement of pupils from a Multi Academy Trust which covers Castle Bromwich Infants and Juniors, Fordbridge Primary, Kingshurst Primary, and Windy Arbor.

This week, the Mayor of Solihull, Cllr Sardul Marwa MBE JP had the pleasure of hosting pupils from Kineton Green Primary School for their monthly school council.

This Tuesday, the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Sardul Singh Marwa MBE JP, visited Chelmunds Place to announce his second Mayoral charity for 2026-27, OVOS (Our Voice, Our Services). OVOS is Solihull’s Children in Care Council, a group helping all care-experienced children and young people across Solihull with a range of services, participation opportunities, and activities.

Solihull residents are being asked to check if their electoral details are correct to ensure they are eligible to vote in next year’s local elections. The Annual Canvass allows Solihull Council to keep the electoral register up to date.

The Met Office has issued a red heat-health alert for Solihull.

On Monday 22 June, the Mayor of Solihull and Leader of Solihull Council took part in raising the Armed Forces Flag at the Royal British Legion memorial in Shirley Park with the Royal British Legion Shirley.
