On Monday 23 June, the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Annette Mackenzie, was joined by members of the public and local dignitaries, to be the first to officially walk Solihull’s new Military History Trail.
Solihull Family Hubs are launching a new outreach hub located in Meriden.
Whilst not a dedicated Family Hub building, the outreach hub based at Meriden Church of England Primary School will provide yet another support and activity site for children and families in Solihull.
Solihull Council is consulting on its new taxi and private hire licensing policy and would like to hear from taxi and private hire drivers, operators and vehicle proprietors within Solihull and outside the borough. The council would also like to hear from anyone who uses taxis and private hire vehicles or who may be affected by any of the proposed changes.
New parking and loading restrictions will be introduced to Manor Square - the area outside the Council House and next to Touchwood shopping centre – to help improve safety from Friday 27 June 2025.
Solihull Council has approved the creation of a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in and around the bus interchange next to Chelmsley Wood shopping centre, in order to help tackle anti-social behaviour in the area.
In line with the Council’s enforcement policy, officers may now take legal action against a business or person who supplies, offers to supply or possesses with intent to supply, single-use vapes.
Council staff hosted an information stall at the Core, taking place to mark Clean Air Day.
The annual campaign is focused on raising awareness of the impact of air quality on people’s health and wellbeing.
