The 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training is for learners wishing to become a cycle training instructor.
The qualification builds a learner’s knowledge and skills to independently deliver cycle training sessions to groups of adults and children as per the National Standard for Cycle Training.
This qualification has been developed in partnership with The Bikeability Trust, who are responsible for providing and monitoring the quality of national cycle training in England on behalf of the Department of Transport (DfT).
The course costs £1,000 per person and includes:
The Bikeability Trust has a bursary of £900 available for new instructors working with a Bikeability Provider.
If you are eligible for a bursary, the amount will be deducted from your course fee.

Once registered you have two years to complete the qualification, but the average time for completion is six to nine months.
