Road closures and town centre access

What you need to consider if you are holding an event on the road or need access to Solihull town centre.

Closing a road

Groups or organisations who wish to hold an event on the highway can apply to close a road. 

Solihull town centre access

You can apply for access if you need to bring a vehicle into Solihull High Street or Mell Square. 

A minimum of 7 days notice is needed. 

Requesting suspension of parking bays

If you wish to make an application to suspend parking bays as part of an event please email parkingservices@solihull.gov.uk no later than 12 weeks before the event.

You will need to include the following information:

• name of the organiser, including contact details
• location of the event
• date, time and length of suspension
• number of bays you wish to suspend
